Shadowing: shout one sentence later, not at the same time

Shadowing means you repeat the sentence half a second after the speaker. Don’t shout over them.

Use the radio or autoplay as a model. Headphones, a quiet apartment, one sentence, pause, then again. Five minutes is enough.

Write down any mistakes you hear on a card. Shadowing without taking notes just charmingly repeats the same mistake.

I do this before speaking in front of groups, not after. Your tongue should be warmed up, not exhausted.
