Slow Radio, for When Real News Is Too Fast
Slow German Radio
In the media library, there’s an educational radio program that speaks more slowly than the noon news. It’s training for the ear, not entertainment to tune out.
I let it play for three minutes and repeat one sentence. Without repeating it, it’s just background noise.
Afterward, I use flashcards for two new words. Otherwise, the broadcast was just noise.
Anyone who already understands B1-level news needs to listen to the radio for shorter periods and spend more time in conversation instead. The ear alone doesn’t carry the mouth.
